FAQs
Filter fit, first use, water flow and replacement media. Get the practical details before you choose.
Contact usWhich aquarium or turtle tank filter fits my setup?
Choose by habitat and installation. A hang-on-back aquarium filter needs space around the tank rim, lid and rear. The turtle filter uses an internal layout. Check the required working water depth, mounting position and electrical rating for your exact unit.
Is the aquarium filter’s flow adjustable?
Yes. Use the aquarium filter’s control knob to adjust its return flow, and watch the current in your setup. The minimum flow has not been confirmed, so adjustable flow alone does not establish suitability for every fish, fry or shrimp.
How do I prime the hang-on-back aquarium filter?
Fill the filter housing with water and prime it as directed in the supplied instructions before switching it on. Check that water returns to the tank. Never run it dry, and do not assume it will restart automatically after a power cut.
What is included with the turtle filter kit?
One ST-01 filter and one pack of four extra matching replacement media pieces. The four pieces are refills, not four filters or a fixed four-month supply. An aquarium and animals are not included.
How low can the turtle filter’s water level be?
Follow the minimum working depth in the instructions supplied with your exact unit. One numerical minimum has not been confirmed for every current unit. Contact us with your planned water depth before ordering if your setup is shallow. Low-water capability does not determine the right habitat depth for an animal.
Why is my aquarium filter noisy or rattling?
Check the working water level, return drop, mounting position and aquarium filter flow setting. Disconnect power before inspecting the intake or impeller according to the manual. If noise or weak flow continues, contact us with your model and setup details. We do not promise silent operation.
Will a filter fix cloudy or green aquarium water?
Cloudy water can have different causes. Visible debris, a new-tank bacterial bloom and suspended green algae do not call for the same response. Check water conditions and the cause alongside routine maintenance. A filter does not replace water testing or water changes, and we do not promise a clear-water deadline.
Which replacement filter media should I buy?
Use the model printed on your actual filter and compare the replacement listing, cartridge shape and pack contents. Similar-looking SF and ST cartridges are not automatically interchangeable. If the label and listing disagree, contact us before ordering.
How often should I clean or replace filter media?
Follow the supplied instructions and inspect the intake and media regularly. Tank conditions and the condition of the media affect the routine. Disconnect power before maintenance; a four-piece pack does not promise four months of use.
Does the aquarium filter remove surface film?
The aquarium filter includes a surface intake that draws from near the waterline. Keep its position and the water level within the supplied instructions. This is surface skimming, not a marine protein skimmer, and it does not establish a guaranteed algae or water-quality result.
What information helps you check filter compatibility?
Send the model label, a photo of the tank rim and lid, available mounting space, normal water depth and the cartridge you need to replace. Use the contact page for a fit check before ordering.
